EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has addressed a ‘cut scene’ from Sonia Fowler’s exit episodes.
The long-running soap character made her final appearance (for now) last week, heading off to Bali with Bianca, Bex, and baby Julia in tow. There was even a final trumpet moment.
While it was a very fitting ending for such a beloved Walford resident, there was a moment that was filmed that didn’t make the edit, one Cassidy wished was included.
On Wednesday’s episode of the Off the Telly podcast, Cassidy said that: “I felt quite emotional but d’you know what? Maybe I’ve missed it because I wasn’t watching it properly, but I feel like they cut out the scene, which was my favourite scene.

“It was Sonia and Phil, and me and Phil just having a moment in the Square. I didn’t see it. I might have to go back and have a look. I’d be really cross [if it was cut] because it was a really nice scene.”
She did say that was happy with it overall, due to the speedboat and the trumpet of it all, and was happy fans enjoyed it too.

“I’ve had loads of DMs and messages and stuff just saying how people have shed a tear, but a happy tear,” she said.
“It was nice and joyful, it wasn’t sort of depressing, and [I] didn’t leave in a black cab, it was just fun.”
