It was recently announced that Cold Feet star Robert Bathurst would be joining Casualty in a guest role,
playing surgeon Russell Whitelaw. The character makes his first appearance in the show
next week in dramatic fashion, after a worrying incident in the operating theatre.
It is revealed that Russell had a health scare while holding a scalpel during an operation, and has wounded fellow surgeon Sean, who comes into the ED bleeding. Against Stevie’s orders, Faith runs some tests on Russell. What will she find?
