Next week on Casualty, Stevie helps out a friend after her life-changing surgery, with Ngozi gets a nasty shock and Indie reaches breaking point.
Here is our spoiler round-up of all the biggest moments coming up, in the latest episode of the current boxset ‘Internal Affairs’ – titled ‘Paper Planes’.
1. Stevie gets news

Following her dramatic surgery, Stevie is given her biopsy results. She is told that the mass in her ovary was cancerous, but they managed to remove all visible disease during the operation.
While the doctors still recommend Stevie has chemotherapy, they confirm that her prognosis now looks good. Stevie’s emotions are mixed – she is relieved to be out of danger but struggling to come to terms with her unexpected hysterectomy.

2. Ngozi is devastated

Ngozi is shocked when she spots her son Obi being brought into the ED during her shift. She can only watch as Obi is checked over by the team, covered in cuts and bruises after being beaten up at school. Despite Ngozi’s attempts to get information out of her son, Obi stays quiet and keeps things to himself.
The nurse is scared that Obi is being bullied, so she later asks him again who is responsible for his injuries. Obi then reveals the truth, leaving Ngozi devastated. What has happened?

3. Indie feels frustrated

As Indie takes to the drivers’ seat of the ambulance for her blue lights test, she is distracted when she spots an emergency on the side of the road nearby.
She uses her initiative and responds quickly, successfully treating the teen driver of a car that has crashed. Indie is pleased with her good work, but is disappointed to find out that as her test was interrupted, she won’t be able to retake it for another week.
This means that she won’t be able to return to the call centre just yet, and won’t be able to earn any money. As she continues to struggle with homelessness, will Indie tell anyone what is really going on?
4. Stevie helps Cara

Stevie is heartbroken to find out that Cara, a cancer patient she has made friends with, doesn’t have long left to live and plans to die at home.
Cara hasn’t told her daughter Olive the truth yet, and wants to wait until she’s in her own space to break the news to her. But when Cara suffers a seizure outside the ED, the situation becomes more difficult. Will Stevie be able to help Cara get home and fulfil her final wish?

5. Rida is torn
BBC
After the incident with Russell during Stevie’s surgery, Rida debates whether to report her sexual assault to HR but feels that they wouldn’t believe a nurse over a surgeon. Cam suggests that she speaks to Siobhan, who helped him when he needed it most. Rida wonders what happened to Cam, as he never told his friends about his own distressing past.
Rida takes Cam’s advice and sets out to tell Siobhan, but will everything go to plan?
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
