Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has addressed a major fan theory about Vanessa Woodfield and Charity Dingle.
Recent weeks have seen Vanessa become a confidante for Sarah Sugden, as the teen shared her hopes of having a baby. Sarah revealed she had been in touch with IVF clinics to confirm her eligibility.
Uneasy about keeping Charity in the dark, Vanessa tried to convince Sarah to talk to her grandmother.
Though Vanessa’s recent support has been crucial for Sarah’s, their closeness could spell trouble for Charity’s husband Mackenzie Boyd (played by Robb). Viewers have been left to wonder if there’s any unfinished business which could soon be explored between former flames Vanessa and Charity.

Addressing the fan theory, Robb discussed whether Mack should be worried about Vanessa and Charity rekindling their romance.

“I don’t think so, but like I’ve said before, never say never!” he said. “Obviously they had great chemistry…”
When asked if Ross Barton or Vanessa was the bigger threat to Mack, Robb teased some upcoming trouble from both characters.

“I’m going to remain ambiguous! For either character there’s definitely grounds to be concerned from Mack’s point of view. It will probably come to fruition over the next year or two. There’ll be something. There always is,” he hinted.
Elsewhere, Mack is set to face a big disaster at Butler’s Farm this week, when Moira Dingle discovers a serious leak with the slurry tank. The mishap, which Mack is blamed for, causes the village’s main water supply to become contaminated.
Victoria Sugden’s young son Harry drinks the water and needs urgent medical attention. Mack struggles to cope with his guilt as he sees the ambulance arrive for the child. Will Harry be okay?
