HOT SHOCKING UPDATE!! Casualty surprises viewers by casting an iconic Coronation Street villain—what’s their shocking role in the latest episode?

Casualty spoilers follow.

Casualty has cast an iconic Coronation Street actor for the show’s latest episode.

Connor McIntyre famously played the role of Weatherfield baddie Pat Phelan on the ITV soap, with the character meeting his demise in 2018 after being stabbed by Anna Windass.

It has now been confirmed that the star will appear in this weekend’s episode of Casualty, playing the role of a patient called Kenny Sanders. Further details remain under wraps for now, though the actor is only due to guest-star for one episode.

This Saturday’s episode will also continue a number of storylines, including Stevie’s stalker – with the character set to come face-to-face with the sinister culprit.

Ngozi and Nicole also face a big relationship test after the former’s son caught them kissing, with Nicole giving her an ultimatum of telling him or ending the relationship altogether.

Flynn and the team also get a portable defibrillator from local councillor Anna, though Flynn makes it clear they cannot rely on charity and need proper funding.

Meanwhile, a few years ago, McIntyre spoke about a potential return to Corrie, suggesting he play the role of Phelan’s hypothetical twin brother Matt.

“The actor in me goes, ‘Wow, there’s a challenge’,” he told Inside Soap. “In a beautiful way, the tables would be reversed. Everybody on the Street would not be well disposed to Pat Phelan’s twin brother, would they? They’d all be horrible to him!

“Although, what if Matt was a genuinely nice guy? It would take an awful lot of courage from the team on the show, but what a shocker. Could you imagine Eileen (Grimshaw, Pat’s former wife)’s face? I tell you what… I’m in, kid!”
