Casualty has cast former Coronation Street star Bill Fellows in a guest role.
Fellows, known for his role as Stu Carpenter on Corrie, will play an undisclosed character, but it seems he will be part of the medical personnel at Holby City.
Earlier this year, the actor posted pictures on his Instagram account teasing his Casualty role.
In one snap, he can be seen wearing an NHS lanyard around his neck, while in another he’s wearing some prosthetic makeup to resemble burns on his upper body.
While it isn’t clear who Carpenter is going to play just yet, a spokesperson for Casualty confirmed to Digital Spy that Fellows will feature in a guest role during the next boxset of the show – which begins in June.

“Bill Fellows has a guest role midway through the next Casualty boxset,” they said.
“Senior Execs have said having him on board was a lovely experience for all and they would love to have him back.”
Fellows left the cobbles behind in October last year, when his character Stu departed Weatherfield for Germany.

“The three years have flown and this felt like the right time to go, I always knew I would go at the end of the three years,” he said at the time.
In January this year, Corrie gave an update on Stu in Mason Radcliffe’s storyline, as it was revealed that Stu offered the troubled teen a job as a trainee chef in Germany.
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
