Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has taken some
well-earned time out and enjoyed a short holiday
following the conclusion of the Tom King story.
The actress, who plays Belle Dingle in the ITV soap, shared a number of snaps on social media of her ’48 hour’ trip as she soaked up the sun and enjoyed the good weather.
Former co-star Daisy Campbell, who portrayed Amelia Spencer, commented with: ‘Beautiful Eden’.
Eden was at the centre of a major storyline in Emmerdale over the past year after Belle’s husband Tom proved himself to be a controlling abuser.
The narrative ran for most of last year, with fans desperately hoping that Tom would get his comeuppance.
Their wish came true after Belle bravely reported her ordeal, with DS Foy doing everything in his power to ensure that justice prevailed.
Tom was arrested and charged in November for coercive controlling behaviour and subsequently stood trial.
The twisted abuser, as viewers know, did everything he could to postpone the trial in a bid to evade justice.
But despite his best efforts, justice was ultimately served, with a jury finding him guilty after an intense trial which saw the judge hand him a custodial sentence of three years.
Tom made an unannounced comeback to screens earlier this month when he received word that Belle had started divorce proceedings, hopeful that she would come and visit him behind bars.
Belle did just that and Tom wasted little time in trying to manipulate her once more – to no avail. Belle stood up to him in powerful scenes and made it clear that she would pursue getting a divorce whether he likes it or not.
