EastEnders spoilers and updates for the week of August 4 tease Joel Marshall (Max Murray) lashes out while Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) attacks someone!

In the meantime, Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace) perpetuates a cover-up, and Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) and Elaine Peacock Knight (Harriet Thorpe) team up!

Joel Lashes Out

Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) takes Joel and Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) to the timber yard after getting advice from Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig).

However, when Ross hears the language used by the other workers, he worries about the boys’ influence. Later, Ross is shocked to receive a call from Joel’s mother and has to inform his son that she is remarrying.

Joel sneaks out to meet Tommy at The Queen Vic, where they steal alcohol from the barrel store. Ross, Vicki, Alfie (Shane Richie), and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) confront them, but when Joel speaks disrespectfully to Kat, the parents are taken aback.

Joel Is Chastised

Ross and Vicki scold Joel, with Ross trying to connect with his son. They share a moment over a video that Ross thinks is harmless from Joel’s favorite influencer, but when Ross finds something concerning on his laptop, he destroys it.

After that, Ross is distant with Joel and won’t let him come to work again. Vicki is surprised to learn why Ross broke the laptop and tells him to be strict with Joel before his behavior gets worse.

Ross has a deep conversation with Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) that makes him reflect, while Joel says sorry to Kat, who lets him spend time with Tommy.

Oscar Is Threatened By Fat Mike

Oscar is once again threatened by Michael ‘Fat Mike’ Smith (Tai Hilferink), who demands £5K for the safety of the Branning family.

After failing to entice Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) into a business deal, Oscar has to explain everything to his older sister Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).

Meanwhile, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) and Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) ignore Yolande Trueman’s (Angela Wynter) wishes and place a bet, winning £6K.

Howie and Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) have a disagreement after she talks about his financial issues with Denise Fox (Diane Parish). In the meantime, an angry Yolande decides to call off the wedding due to Patrick’s lies.

Oscar Attacks Patrick!

Later, Oscar breaks into the Trueman-Fox house to take Patrick’s winnings, but Patrick catches him in the act, and Oscar pushes Patrick, causing him to fall to the floor unconscious.

In a panic, Oscar tries to leave just as Howie comes back-Oscar has to hide and make a quick escape, and Howie doesn’t see his face.

The family is shocked to return from The Vic and find Patrick hurt, while Lauren doubts Oscar’s concern for Patrick, and as the teen tries to run, she confronts him.

At the hospital, Yolande, Denise, and Kim wait for updates on Patrick, while Howie gives a statement to the police.

As the police start visiting homes, Lauren gets angry with Oscar, and he feels the urge to run again; will Patrick be alright, and will Lauren report Oscar?

Eve’s Cover-Up

Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) and Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) are getting ready for Avani’s 12-week scan, but Eve is still skeptical about Suki’s intentions for them to raise the baby.
