Hollyoaks has finally resolved the heartbreaking mystery involving Darren Osborne, which has seen his marriage to Nancy crumble.
The pair became estranged following the arrival of Kat Omari, who later said that she and Darren had drunkenly slept together. It was soon revealed to viewers that Kat had sabotaged their bond as a ploy to get closer to Frankie, though Darren and Nancy were unaware of this.
Despite Darren’s insistence that nothing happened with Kat, his relationship with Nancy deteriorated as she was unable to trust him. Despite briefly reconciling with Nancy earlier this month, the pair’s marriage seemed to be over for good after she handed him divorce papers.
Unbeknownst to Darren, Nancy had actually discovered that she was pregnant following their night together, though she got a further surprise as she found out that Kat was also carrying a child.

Tuesday’s (20 May) instalment began with Nancy questioning Kat over her pregnancy as she assumed it was Darren’s child, though Kat was reluctant to answer as she was whisked away in a car.
Darren, meanwhile, pleaded for Donny’s help as he investigated the disappearance of Frankie, though he was soon in a war of words with Nancy as she informed him that “[his] girlfriend” Kat was pregnant.
As the pair stood by Oscar’s bedside following his operation, they bickered as they struggled to sort their differences. After spitefully telling Darren that he should spend time with his “new family”, Nancy informed him that she was pregnant with his child but had taken an abortion pill.
As the argument continued upon their return to home, Nancy got a shock as a weary Kat knocked on the door to inform her that she had never slept with Darren, adding that she had spiked him on that fateful night.

Despite Darren wanting to turf his tormentor from the house immediately, Nancy reasoned that diplomacy would be the best bet as Kat could potentially provide information on Frankie’s whereabouts.
