The Beales and the Knights have united to send wicked Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Collins) plan crashing to the ground.
Viewers of the BBC One soap have seen Cindy on the warpath over the last week, threatening to report former mother-in-law Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) to the police for attacking her at Christmas.
The only thing that would buy her silence would be if she handed over No. 45 Albert Square, Beale’s Eels and the Beale’s Plaice chippy.
Neither Kath’ or her son Ian (Adam Woodyatt) were prepared to handover their livelihoods and home to the schemer, but she wouldn’t let the matter drop.
The situation escalated when Cindy caught Kathy kissing Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), and after recording their dalliance, played the footage in front of everyone in The Queen Vic.
This was just moments after she announced herself to be the new owner of The Prince Albert gay bar, which Kathy had signed over to her under the pretence that she had deleted the incriminating evidence.
But of course, she hadn’t.
In tonight’s episode, we picked right up from where we left off, as the stunned punters watched on in horror at the video.

Ian claimed that it could have been manipulated by AI – and Harvey’s partner Jean, who didn’t want to believe what she had just witnessed, was inclined to agree.
As tensions began to rise, Jean rushed off home where she debated her future with Harvey.
Meanwhile, at the Vic’s bar, the bell was rung and everyone was ordered to leave. Just the two core families at the heart of EastEnders’ festive storyline remained.
Cindy and Kathy both shared slaps with one another, with insults hurled across the room.
Brandishing Cindy just as bad for being unfaithful, Kathy exclaimed: ‘You can drop your knickers quicker than I can crack an egg!’

It was then that Cindy decided she would go to the police and report her, saying that she deserves compensation for everything that has happened to her.
‘The only thing you deserve is to be burnt at the stake’ chirped Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe).
Despite everything that the clans have been through, they were brought together in their hatred and declared that Kathy was innocent – they have ‘no idea’ where Cindy’s claims have come from…
Peter (Thomas Law) then came downstairs, disgusted at both his mum and grandmother. Having just welcomed a new baby into the world, he has grown sick and tired of the constant friction and wants no more part in it.
