The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that will air on ITV1 this evening. You can also view the instalment right now on ITVX.
A birthday party at Home Farm has ended in the worst way in Emmerdale, as Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is currently lying on the floor after being pushed out of a window.
And nobody knows if he’s dead or alive.
The instalment, which will air this evening, focuses on multiple Emmerdale residents attending Lydia’s (Karen Blick) birthday party. Due to the fact so many of them dislike Joe, it also sets the scene for someone to get revenge on him.
This article does contain spoilers from the episode, which you can view on ITVX right now. Here’s your final warning as below, we take a look at all the clues dropped in tonight’s ep, and the list of people who could’ve pushed Joe.
Billy

Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) made two discoveries about Joe a few days ago. One, that he threatened his daughter about going back into care and two, that he had been sleeping with Dawn (Olivia Bromley).
At first, it seemed kind-hearted Billy wasn’t going to react with violence, convinced he should be a good influence on his children and show them that dealing with a situation via his fists isn’t the answer. However, after opening up to Caleb (William Ash), Billy’s anger was fuelled. Winding him up was all part of Caleb’s plan though, as he is also one of Joe’s enemies.
Getting Billy to do the dirty work is a smart move – but did he act on his anger, or stay well clear for the sake of his children?
Clemmie
Youngster Clemmie (Mabel Addison) made things quite clear a few days ago when she confronted Joe after seeing him kiss Dawn. His manipulative acts were never going to work on her and during a showdown, she bit him and ran away.
In tonight’s episode, Clemmie was present in Home Farm just after Joe’s secrets were exposed. The character could’ve pushed Joe, aware that he’s the reason her family have fallen apart, but is she smart enough to know of the ramifications it would have on her afterwards and therefore chose not to?
Dawn

For the record, not one ounce of our souls feel sorry for Dawn right now. After destroying her marriage, believing that Joe was the man for her, she finally learnt who the real Tate is and was utterly devastated.
In a state of anger and upset, did Dawn push Joe? Or maybe the matter is more complex, and she’s involved in the situation with someone else?
Caleb
Given the conversation Caleb had with Billy, he certainly isn’t very high on our list of suspects anymore. However, anything is possible when it comes to this man. If Billy wasn’t prepared to commit the crime, Caleb has potentially just done it anyway.
But is attacking Joe and spending years behind bars away from his family something Caleb will be happy to commit to?
Ruby
Again, with so much at stake when it comes to the Miligan family, Ruby (Beth Cordingly) pushing Joe out of a window doesn’t remain a high possibility at the moment. She killed Anthony Fox and has worked desperately hard to keep that secret hidden, so being responsible for this would increase the chance of people finding out what happened to her dad.
Charity

Charity (Emma Atkins) learnt from Ruby yesterday that Joe spiked Noah (Jack Downham) and therefore caused the limo crash.
In tonight’s episode, Noah discovered her plan to drug Joe, but did she go even further and send him flying through the window as well?
Noah
Noah called the police on his brother after learning the revelation from Charity.
Just like Billy, he could’ve acted in a moment of rage after Joe’s actions and letting him feel guilty for the limo crash.
Matty or Kerry
Matty (Ash Palmisciano) and Kerry (Laura Norton) learnt tonight that Joe is the reason Amy is dead. They both remained pretty adamant he’d pay for what he’d done, but would either of them risk going to prison…again in Matty’s case?
Manpreet

Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) has proved on a number of occasions so far this year that she is more than just a local GP.
Her intimate images were discovered by Joe online and used against her in a blackmail plot, which resulted in her unethically getting her hands on a vial of Caleb’s blood, which was then tested by Doctor Crowley before Joe’s operation.
Manpreet’s career will be in jeopardy if more people learn about her involvement in Joe’s scams. After he betrayed Manpreet’s trust, did she see red?
