OMG SHOCKING !!! Beth Cordingly Reacts to Soap Awards Nods – Calls Nominees “Powerhouses” and Jokes About That Frozen Grin Photo!

Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has responded to her British Soap Awards 2025 nominations,

calling her fellow nominees “powerhouses”.

Announced today, Cordingly received two nominations in two separate categories for her portrayal of Ruby Milligan on the soap.

Her first nomination comes in the Best Leading Performer category alongside EastEnders star Lacey Turner, EastEnders actor Kellie Bright, and Emmerdale’s Eden Taylor-Draper.

Taking to Instagram, Cordingly praised her soap peers, writing: “Wow. Thank you. 🌹Truly honoured to be shortlisted with these fabulous women for best performer at the British soap awards. Adore @kelliebrightofficial – a totally brilliant person and an incredible actress.

“As is my bae @swedentd whom I love dearly and the terrific @laceyturner whom I have always greatly admired. All powerhouses. Thanks so much for voting for us as your shortlist.”

Cordingly is also up for a Best On-Screen Partnership award alongside her on-screen husband William Ash, who plays Caleb Milligan.

The post continued: “Also dead chuffed to be nominated with William Ash for best on screen partnership . He’s an absolute dream to work with and so talented.”

At the end of the post, Cordingly quipped about the photo the Soap Awards had used, saying: “Must get a new photo though. Talk about a Frozen grin face.”

In a follow-up post, the soap actor shared a video in which she shared her frustrations about choosing an outfit for the awards show, explaining how she has already discussed outfit options with her co-star Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle Dingle.

In the video, she says: “There is a down side to being nominated for Best Performer at The British Soap Awards, which me and Eden have just been discussing which is: What the f**k do you wear?”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
