EastEnders has revealed Oscar Branning’s future in Walford following a major twist of fate.
In yesterday’s episode, Jack and Denise found out the truth about Oscar attacking Patrick in his home and Lauren convinced them to stay quiet to protect her little brother.
Oscar couldn’t live with the guilt and came clean to Patrick, who had another panic attack. That led Patrick’s family to find out that Oscar was the one who had broken in.
Lauren told Howie to persuade the family not to report Oscar to the police or she would tell them that Howie has Patrick’s stolen money.
After Howie tried to convince the family not to tell the police, Oscar was later seen getting in a police car. Tonight’s episode confirmed his fate in Walford.
Kicking things off, Lauren told Howie to sort the situation with Oscar, saying: “If my brother goes down for this, I will make sure you go down with him.”
Anthony continued to thwart Howie’s efforts to talk Patrick round, telling Howie: “The only shame in this situation is that that boy got away with this for so long.”
In a heart-to-heart with Patrick, Howie said that Lauren was in bits, adding: “Oscar being here really helped her out. I know he done a terrible thing. And he regrets it.”
Howie pleaded with Patrick to give Oscar a second chance and his efforts to talk Patrick out of sending Oscar to prison seemed to work.
Meanwhile, at the police station, an angry Oscar was convinced he was going back to prison. However, when DC Gold arrived, he told Oscar that he was free to go, saying that Patrick had amended his statement.
Back in Walford, Anthony was furious to see Oscar. He blamed Howie for Oscar’s release, punching him in the face during a heated moment.
Patrick demanded that everyone stop fighting and told Anthony to accept his decision or go home.
