Off the Rails
Lulu arrived at Laura’s office and was surprised to run into Dante, and they realized that Rocco must be the reason Laura had summoned them. Laura entered and explained that she wanted them to help Rocco by making peace with Liesl Obrecht. Stunned, Lulu insisted she didn’t want her son anywhere near that woman. Laura understood, but reminded her daughter that Rocco felt differently. Laura thought the boy needed to know that the woman who gave birth to him wasn’t a horrible monster. “But she was!” Lulu shouted back. Calmly, Laura suggested, “Maybe she’s more than that?”

Laura warned the concerned parents that forbidding Rocco from seeing Obrecht would only make him go behind their backs, and if they all sat down together, the conversations would be out in the open and safer. Dante agreed, but Lulu complained for a bit longer before finally caving and asking her mother to set up a meeting. Soon enough, Obrecht arrived, and Lulu kicked things off by apologizing for overreacting when she saw her with Rocco. Liesl accepted before pointing out that Rocco had contacted her, and she was only trying to help answer his questions. Dante queried why she’d flown to Port Charles just for that, and Obrecht admitted that she had always hoped that Rocco would reach out. Dante put his foot down and reminded her that Rocco was still a child, and as his parents, they would be making these kinds of decisions. Obrecht tried to argue that Rocco was becoming a young man and deserved some independence, and Lulu snapped that they were not there to discuss their parenting.
Laura got things back on track, and Lulu proposed that they could all get together for dinner so Rocco could ask his questions with his parents present. Obrecht snarkily asked if they would also like to pre-approve his questions as well as her answers, and that’s when things got snippy again. Gesturing to Laura, Liesl wondered if these same rules would apply to his other grandma. “Rocco has two grandmothers,” Lulu hissed, “and you are not one of them.” Obrecht haughtily declared that Britt gave birth to Rocco, and her blood was in his veins. “So some would say that not only am I his grandmother,” she declared, “but that Britta is as much his mother as you.”

Dante angrily called her deranged and insisted that Lulu was Rocco’s mother. “What your daughter did to us was absolutely horrific,” he ranted. “She was our doctor. And we trusted her. And she betrayed that trust at our most vulnerable moment. You both did. You didn’t just steal a sample. You stole our embryo.”
Obrecht noted that if Britt hadn’t carried that child, they wouldn’t have a son. Dante insisted they would have found another surrogate, so the doctor argued that the implantation might not have worked. Laura interrupted to remind everyone they were there for Rocco, but Obrecht continued by declaring that Britt had given them a miracle. Pushed to the limit, Dante countered by pointing out that Britt was a criminal, and so was Obrecht. He recalled how she had messed with his mind and tried to turn him into her personal assassin, threatening to hunt down every outstanding warrant against her unless she left town. Undeterred, Obrecht fired back by wondering aloud how Rocco would react to his father throwing his grandmother in jail.
A Desperate Request
Alexis stopped by the Quartermaine mansion, where Jason sadly informed her that Monica wasn’t feeling up to visitors today. He offered his assistance, but Alexis lamented that Moncia was likely the only one who could help. She explained that Drew was planning on moving to D.C. with Scout, but as a grandmother, she didn’t have the same rights as a father, so she had to tread carefully with him. Alexis lamented that every time she thinks she’s getting Drew to understand that Scout needs more family around her, he does something crazy.

Alexis complained that it wasn’t fair to Scout or to Sam, and that Drew only cares about himself. “Meanwhile, there’s a little girl who’s still mourning her mother,” she cried. “Shouldn’t that matter? I mean, isn’t this supposed to be about what Scout needs?” Jason agreed that she was right and that Drew wouldn’t listen to him. Alexis had hoped Monica could say something to Drew because she was one of the only people he seemed to actually look up to. Jason said he would pass the message along and later returned to report that Monica was going to talk to Drew as soon as possible.
Setting Boundaries
At the hospital, a frantic Drew apologized for bothering Liz at work but was hoping for an update on how Willow was doing. Liz reminded him that she was trying to put her life back together. “The life she thinks I destroyed,” he grumbled as Liz eyed him curiously. Drew insisted that he just wanted Willow to know how much he loves her and how terrible he feels, and how much he wants to fix this. Liz noted that some things can’t be fixed and urged him to give Willow the time and space she needs to heal. Drew fretted that he didn’t want to abandon her and leave her all alone in her hour of need, so Liz rightfully pointed out that Willow wasn’t alone and that he couldn’t fix this himself.

Drew tried to explain that Nina never meant anything to him and that he was madly in love with Willow… until Curtis blew the whole thing apart. Liz argued that Curtis was just trying to do the right thing for Willow, and Drew bitterly responded: “Be honest with me, Elizabeth. Do you really think that Willow is better off now?” Liz allowed that she couldn’t say that, but at least Willow was making her own decisions now based on the truth. She also recalled how in the past, her own lies had hurt the people around her, even Drew himself. Liz urged him to give Willow the space she needed to heal, and maybe they’d find “an honest way back to each other.” As Drew left the office, he turned back to express his gratitude that Willow had someone like Liz on her side.
Workplace Conduct
As he was going off duty at the hospital, Isaiah got noticeably flirty with Portia as he expressed his pleasure that she hadn’t resigned. She explained that while things weren’t completely resolved, they were looking up and was grateful to have had his help and support. Portia added that things with Curtis had also taken a turn for the better, and he said he was happy to hear it. She then changed the topic to him, asking if he was putting himself out there. Isaiah admitted that renovating the cabin he’d been gifted by Lucky was taking up most of his free time. “Most good things require a little effort,” he said thoughtfully. Portia urged him to rest after a long day of work and reached out to touch his arm as she told him to get home safe. Noting the gesture, Isaiah promised he would and left with a smile on his face.

Portia turned to see Stella looking at her disapprovingly and played it cool as she bluntly asked how close she and Dr. Gannon were, worried that their friendship could be seen as professionally inappropriate. Portia assured her that she had boundaries and then thanked Stella for not butting in and leaving her and Curtis to work things out on their own. Stella was pleased to hear that they were repairing their marriage, and they happily embraced. Seeing them from down the corridor, Drew made a face and placed a call to open an insurance fraud investigation.
Reconnecting
In the park, Jordan ran into Curtis while on a jog, and they caught up about the recent wedding fiasco. She was skeptical when he revealed Drew had proposed a truce, and Curtis assured her he was keeping his guard up. He also shared that he and Portia had talked things through and were going to work on their marriage. Jordan didn’t understand why he was grateful to her for helping in that, and Curtis explained that she had been open about the spark between them and didn’t let them fall back into what they once had together. They both agreed that now that the lines were drawn again, they could continue being friends, though neither of them seemed to completely believe the words they were saying.

Curtis asked about her job with Sidwell, and she reported that things were actually going really well. He reminded her that she worked for a corrupt and dangerous man, and Jordan promised she wasn’t losing sight of her goal. In fact, she was building up her cover by getting a new apartment befitting the COO of a multinational corporation. He insisted on helping her with the walk-through, and Jordan pointed out the building in the distance. Curtis noted that she would have a view of the harbor, just like in Baltimore, and they both looked a little wistful as Jordan agreed things were coming full circle. Just then, Isaiah strolled nearby, and his face fell as he took in the pair laughing and chatting together.
Secrets and Lies
Carly excitedly suggested to Jack that they take a romantic trip together, perhaps a wine tasting in the Finger Lakes. Anna apologized for interrupting, but told Carly they had some unfinished business. Carly got worked up as she blasted Anna for previously wanting to talk to her and then never showing up. Anna shot Brennan a look as she pointedly said that as police commissioner, she sometimes gets “held hostage by events.” Still huffy, Carly demanded to know what they had to discuss, and Anna explained that Lucas had accused Sonny of kidnapping Marco and wondered if she had any additional information. Fed up, Carly snapped that she did not and then stormed off to help the chef in the kitchen.

Brennan wanted to know what Anna was playing at, and she said she was curious how Carly might react if she learned he’d recruited her daughter to spy for the WSB and sent her on a dangerous mission in a foreign country. He coldly pointed out that she couldn’t say anything “because that would be treason.” Anna allowed that her hands were tied, but warned that if anything happened to Josslyn, she would tell Carly everything. Later, Carly returned with some wine to preview their upcoming weekend and admitted that she actually appreciated Anna giving her a heads up about Vaughn and was happy Joss was taking time for herself in Australia. Jack got a serious look on his face and stopped the celebration. “Carly, I have to tell you something,” he announced. “I haven’t been completely honest with you.”
Britt Fights Back
Relaxing in the sun and sipping her drink at the Five Poppies resort in Croatia, Britt was annoyed when Pascal interrupted to insist she return to work in the lab because “he” was expecting results. With a dismissive tone, Britt declared that she was on strike. Pascal returned later to report that the air filtration system in the lab was being repaired as they spoke, so it should be comfortable enough for her to get back to work. Britt argued that the work required perfect conditions, as did she, suggesting he wouldn’t want anything to go wrong on his watch, would he?
Still later, Pascal reported back that the situation had been resolved and everything was functioning correctly. But Britt slurred her words slightly as she declared that she wasn’t functioning at peak levels because she’d had a few too many cocktails. Roughly grabbing her arm to stop her from walking away, Pascal gruffly warned they had ways to sober her up. Britt cautioned that “he” wouldn’t want him treating her like this, but Pascal countered that “He” didn’t like delays, and she was causing too many of those.
At that very moment, Josslyn and Vaughn arrived undercover, asking if this was where they were supposed to check in. Meanwhile, back in Port Charles, Anna arrived at the Quartermaines acting frantic as she informed Jason that she’d changed her mind about Britt. “You need to find her,” she urged. “As soon as you can!”
