Devon and Lily hate seeing Nate so devastated. Devon hopes Amy will still follow through on her plan to move there.

Lily thinks it would be good for her.

Devon worries about how Lily is doing.

Lily is struggling to find peace with all this. She says Cane is the last thing she needs to deal with right now.

Devon says it’s clear that Cane wants her back.

Lily insists that it will never happen.

Devon remembers how in love they used to be. He points out how Cane was willing to give his life up to Carter so that she could go free.

Lily accuses her brother of being on Cane’s side.

Devon says he’s not, but he believes Cane’s love for her is genuine.

Victor enters, and Devon asks him to join them.

Victor wants to stop by and take Dominic to feed the ducks.

Lily says she plans to avoid Cane at all costs.

Victor doesn’t think that’s the best plan. He thinks she might be the only person Cane would confide in.

Lily senses that Victor wants her to spy on Cane, and she doesn’t want to be used again by him.

Victor thinks they would all benefit by learning Cane’s plans.

Lily isn’t sure.

Victor tells her to think about it and leaves.

Esther approaches and offers her condolences. She can’t believe that Cane is the mysterious Dumas. She’s glad they made it home safely.

Devon hopes Lily isn’t giving thought to what Victor suggested.

Lily admits she was unfairly suspicious of Damian, who showed her nothing but kindness and honesty. She finally felt ready to move on, and she’ll always blame Cane for stealing that chance from her. She isn’t sure she has it in her to fake it with Cane to get information.

Devon is glad to hear it.

She wonders if Victor does have a good point, and she might have no other choice.

Devon believes there could be other ways to find out what Cane is planning.

They can’t say absolutely that Cane won’t come after Winters.

Lily knows Cane is up to something and worries that he is as ruthless and greedy as his father.

Devon doesn’t think crossing Cane with a false promise of love is the smart move.

Lily says it might be the only move that will stop him.

Devon begs his sister to forget it.

Lily doesn’t see another way.

Sally and Audra meet at the bar.

Audra orders a strong drink and is happy to finally see a friendly face.

Sally assumes her friend is still dealing with the fallout from Nice.

Audra tells her about Victor pulling the plug on Vibrante.

Sally wants to know if she and Victor had a contract.

Audra knows that it doesn’t matter to Victor, and now she is left with nothing.

Sally agrees that what Victor did is horrible, but she wants to know what Audra thought would happen.

Audra says that Kyle may think he knocked her down for good, but he will never see her coming.

Sally knows Audra is angry, but reminds her that revenge never works out well.

Audra insists she is not a quitter and will get peace of mind when she does what she set out to do.

Sally says Victor is not a patient man.

Audra says there is an art to seduction, and it takes time.

Sally suggests that Kyle is really in love with Claire.

Audra thinks he’s just infatuated, and she will ensure that Claire sees the truth about the man she loves.

Sally is worried about Audra and her relationship with Nate. She knows that Audra is going to be the one whose relationship is blown up if Kyle or Victor says anything.

Audra asserts that Nate will never find out about the drama in Nice.

Sally wants to know exactly what happened.

Audra says she and Kyle kissed, and Kyle accused her of trying to seduce him. She insists the kiss was very real, and if Kyle says anything to Nate, Claire will hear all about it.

Sally suggests Audra should walk away.

Audra knows no one ever got anywhere by playing it safe. She thinks she’s in the clear because neither of the men has said anything.

Sally reminds Audra that she hasn’t provoked either of them yet.

Audra struggles with how she’ll break the news about Vibrante to Nate.

Sally suggests she present it as a choice she made.

Audra knows Nate will ask questions.

Sally says she can say a better offer came along.

Audra doesn’t want to pile on more lies.

Sally questions, “What if it’s not a lie?”

Sally tells Audra about Billy wanting to partner with Cane to get Chancellor back.

Audra is shocked and tells Sally she is brilliant for protecting herself by having Billy agree to sign over Abbott Communications to her if he gets Chancellor.

Sally refuses to be left out in the cold.

Audra is impressed.

Sally says that Audra should come work with her if she assumes the CEO role.

Audra wonders how likely it is that Billy will get Chancellor.

Sally says Cane has a plan. Even if Billy stays on, she will still be COO and knows they’d be lucky to have Audra.

Audra reminds Sally that Billy is an Abbott.

Sally thinks it’s safe to say that Billy won’t care what any of the Abbotts have to say about her.

Audra is thankful for the offer, but she needs to figure out her next move on her own.

Adam calls and orders his team to sit on the Billy hit piece for a bit longer.

Claire and Kyle pop in unexpectedly.

Adam wants to know why they are there.

Claire wants to make a deal.

Adam understands that Claire is upset.

Claire says she is inspired to live her life on her terms, just as her father wanted.

Adam reminds her that Victor will not be happy.

Claire says her grandfather will just have to deal with it. She wants to buy his condo.

Adam says it would be problematic for him to go against Victor at this point. He doesn’t like how Victor is treating them, but he can’t sell the condo to them.

Claire wonders if there is a way to change his mind.

Adam senses she wants the condo to tick off Victor.

Victor enters and assumes Kyle and Claire are there because they want to buy Adam’s condo.

Claire says it’s perfect for them.

Kyle wants to know what makes Victor think he controls every house and condo in town.

Victor wants to know why Kyle thinks he can’t.

Victor wants a word alone with Claire.

Claire says there is nothing left to say, and the way he treated Kyle was uncalled for.

Claire and Kyle walk past Victor and leave the office.

Victor is genuinely puzzled, insisting he’s only trying to help Claire. He asks Adam why she can’t see that.

Adam suggests his father accept young love and let it go.

Victor says that what Claire has with Kyle is just infatuation.

Adam knows his father thinks Claire is vulnerable, but he thinks his father should worry about the war with Cane.

Victor wants to use one enemy to crush the other. He will focus Cane’s attention on Jabot and the Abbotts.

Adam believes this to be a classic Victor Newman move; he would rather the Abbotts go down instead of his family. He cautions that this plan might push Claire further away.

Victor insists he knows what he’s doing and calls Cane. He says the two of them need to talk.

Society

Kyle and Claire enter. He suggests she might not want to be there with the particular crowd.

Claire turns and sees Audra at the bar with Sally.

Sally sees them and suggests Audra might want to order that second drink.

Audra refuses to leave and recalls how blissfully ignorant Claire was earlier.

Sally doesn’t think she’s in the dark any longer.

Kyle stops Claire as she heads to speak with Audra.

Claire accuses Kyle of not listening and that Victor isn’t the only person she is ready to stand up to. She breaks free and says this will be so worth it!

Claire tells Audra she knows what she tried to do.

Audra wants to know exactly what she tried to do.

Claire knows all about the deal with Victor to break them up.

Audra tells Claire that it is pathetic how Kyle has fooled her into believing he is a knight in armor when he is just a weak man.

Claire accuses her of making up the phone charger story.

Audra knows Kyle told her nothing happened and he would never betray her, but she informs Claire that he is lying. She suggests Kyle is very good with his words. Audra says she lied about the charger, but Kyle was definitely in her room.

With all eyes on Kyle, he asserts that “this” is over!

Audra calls out his avoidance.

Kyle reminds her that her miserable plan failed.

Audra says her only mission in Nice was to launch Vibrante with the help of Dumas, but Kyle had other interests.

Claire wants to know why she is doing this.

Audra tells Claire she is just trying to help her. She says it was just like old times in Nice when Kyle was coming onto her. She instructs Claire to open her eyes before it’s too late.

Kyle says Audra just can’t accept defeat.

Audra quips back that he just can’t choose which woman he wants.

Sally quickly grabs Audra and exits.

Kyle begs Claire to tell him that she didn’t believe any of that.
