Only The Lonely
In her suite at the Five Poppies resort in Croatia, Britt pushed back against her handler, Pascal, expressing her frustration over the lack of communication she’s had with their mutual boss. “He wants you to keep me happy,” Britt sing-songed, her tone immediately changing as she next bit out, “And guess what? I’m not happy.” Noting that the latest data she received via Greta’s transfer in Port Charles was incomplete, and she couldn’t do anything further with what she had, a bitchy Britt instructed Pascal to get her what she needed from the boss. After Pascal left, Britt scrolled through social media on her computer and saw a post made by her mother: a selfie of Obrecht and Rocco at the Metro Court Pool. Shocked by how big “Ben” was now, Britt opened up a Cloud folder and longingly stared at a photo of herself holding the teenager as a baby. Finally, Britt got the call she’d been waiting for from her boss and reluctantly agreed to continue her mysterious work. After hanging up, Britt opened the drawer of her nightstand and pulled out a case containing a vial and syringe.

A Deal With The Devil
Kristina showed up at the hospital to see Cody, who had an appointment to have his mole checked out. The mole turned out to be nothing more than an ordinary freckle, but while they waited for the dermatologist, Kristina offered Cody more cash to speed things up on seducing Ava. Knowing that her mom was meeting with Ava, Kristina ordered him to go to the law office so he could “accidentally” bump into his target. Before he took off, Cody asked if Kristina knew why her sister was suddenly so angry with him. Not willing to own up to the fact that she’d purposely planted seeds of doubt in Molly’s mind about Cody, Kristina brushed it off that her sister was still emotional after breaking up with T.J.
Meanwhile, at Miller Davis, Ava offered a proposal: If Alexis agreed to draw one more payment out of the Cassadine trust, Ava would stop the blackmail. The funds would be deposited into a new account that Ric didn’t have access to, Ava explained, essentially cutting him out of the equation. In exchange, Ava would hand over the key to the storage unit where she’s storing Ric’s car and delete the security footage of Kristina in the parking garage. Amused by the thought of sticking it to Ric, Alexis agreed to Ava’s terms. Cody arrived as Ava was preparing to leave the office, and she gave him a heated look.

Two Truths And A Lie
Emma arrived at the Metro Court pool just as Gio signed out from his shift. He tried to convince her that he should be the one to break into Dalton’s lab — not her — but Emma was insistent. Gio pointed out that getting caught would be worse for her, since she already had an arrest record, and he wasn’t in a position where he’d be damaging relationships with his family. Growing emotional, Gio revealed that he missed his relatives. Still, he wasn’t ready to reach out yet and didn’t know if he ever would be. “My point: Don’t be so quick to write off your family,” he shared, grabbing Emma’s hand. “Because being apart from them… it hurts like hell.”
Taking her roommate’s admission to heart, Emma agreed to attend Professor Dalton’s lecture while Gio broke into the lab. Then, Josslyn showed up at the pool to tell Emma that she was leaving town and had resigned as Dalton’s assistant. Urging Emma not to take the position if Dalton reached out to her, Joss claimed that the professor hit on her several times.

Agent of Change
At the WSB bureau office, Brennan gave Josslyn a fake passport to use for her next assignment: She and Vaughn will do recon on the Five Poppies resort. But first, she had to sell a convincing cover story to her mom. As Brennan and Joss discussed the trip to Croatia, Carly called, inviting him to meet her at the bar for a nightcap. Still not thrilled that her boss was dating her mother, Josslyn rolled her eyes after listening to their call on speaker, then headed out to find Carly.
Finding her mom at the Metro Court restaurant, Josslyn spun a yarn that she was going to Australia for a few weeks to visit an old friend of her grandmother Lady Jane, who’d broken her hip and needed help. At first, Carly didn’t believe Joss but softened when her daughter confided that part of the reason she was going to Australia was to put some distance between her and Vaughn. Supportive of her daughter’s “grown-up, mature decision,” Carly stated how proud she was of Joss. Mother and daughter shared a hug just as Brennan arrived, then after Joss left, Brennan tried to assess whether Carly bought the cover story. While pleased that Carly seemed to believe the reason for Josslyn’s sudden trip Down Under, Brennan was surprised when Carly recounted how Vaughn had pitted Josslyn and Anna’s granddaughter, Emma, against one another for his affections.

The Write Stuff
Across the dining room, Ric and Molly were having dinner, and she confided that she’d gotten back into writing. When Ric asked her about her inspiration for the book, Molly flashed back to several encounters with Cody. Asking her dad to keep her writing on the down low and especially not tell Ava, Molly was surprised to hear that he and Ava were on the outs. Elizabeth stopped by their table to say hi, and upon learning that the nurse’s plans had fallen through, a matchmaking Molly stepped away to give the exes a moment to talk alone.
Grateful for Ric’s help with Willow, Liz updated him that her friend had ignored his advice and gone to see Michael. She was flustered by Ric’s compliment that for Willow to impress the judge and regain custody, she needed to be a lot more like her. Returning to the table, Molly convinced Liz to join her and Ric for dinner.

Baby Steps
Chase and Brook Lynn were also at the Metro Court, where the police detective told his wife that he wants to resume their adoption plans. Brook Lynn, however, was hesitant to do so, wanting to repair her broken relationship with Gio first so she could put her whole heart into raising a child with Chase. Plus, Brook Lynn added, she worried that exploring adoption might make Gio feel like he was being replaced and push him further away. Chase offered to talk to Gio on Brook Lynn’s behalf, but she didn’t think her firstborn would believe it.
When his wife couldn’t give him a firm answer on how much longer she wanted to wait, Chase wondered if she still even wanted to start a family. Brook Lynn reassured her husband that she “eventually” wants to raise a baby with him and hoped that their child would have two loving parents and a big brother when that time comes. Although he pretended to be okay with her decision, Chase excused himself to take a phone call from work. Wandering up to the pool deck during the call, Chase offered to come into the station, even though he wasn’t on duty, then had an awkward run-in with Gio as the lifeguard headed home for the night.

Watch Your Back
Anna and Obrecht ran into each other on the pier and had a heart-to-heart about their regrets when it came to motherhood and career, and the advice they’d give to their younger selves. Anna expressed her condolences after Liesl detailed how she feels cheated when she doesn’t see Britta in her dreams, but Obrecht shot it down with an acknowledgement of her part in Robin’s supposed death. “I don’t want your sympathy. I don’t deserve it,” she admitted. “My grief, my anguish, my torment must be shamefully similar to what I put you and your loved ones through when Cesar and I took Robin. An act I will never live down.”
Her conversation with Obrecht prompted Anna to call Carly, requesting to see her in person so she could share some new information about Josslyn (i.e., that she suspected Brennan recruited Joss to work for the WSB). Alarmed that Carly had invited Anna to meet her at the Metro Court, Brennan stepped away to take a call of his own. Just as he returned to his seat next to his girlfriend at the bar, someone approached Anna from behind on the dock and put a hood over her head before dragging her away!
